Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. I came across your post about how you're unable to scan after upgrading to Windows 10, and wanted to reply with my suggestions.

 

Start with running the Printer Install Wizard here: Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows

 

After that, the full feature driver and software should be installed for your printer on your computer. Try scanning again. If there are any problems, let me know all of the details, errors, etc., and I will do my best to help!
