I understand that you are facing issues with scanning.
To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.
What is the error message you are getting?
Meanwhile, install the latest HP Easy Scan from here. It will be installed within the Applications folder.
Finally, ensure your drivers are up to date by clicking the Apple icon, selecting About this Mac, and then pressing Software Update.
Click Store on the top menu bar, click Reload Page, and click Update All if any updates are available.
Try scanning.
