Hi @froggy414,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your printer is not scanning the alignment page. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Check the Alignment Page Placement:

  • Ensure that the alignment page is placed correctly on the scanner bed. The printed side of the page should be facing down on the scanner glass, and it should be aligned with the guides at the edges of the scanner glass.

Clean the Scanner Glass:

  • Make sure the scanner glass is clean. Use a lint-free cloth and a mild, streak-free glass cleaner. Avoid using excessive liquid that can drip or leave streaks.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve alignment and scanning issues.

Update Printer Software:

  • Ensure that the printer drivers and firmware are up to date. Visit Official HP® Support to download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer model.

Retry the Alignment Process:

  • Try to initiate the alignment process again from the printer's control panel. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully to complete the alignment.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
