Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I reinstalled the printer driver and now my scanning function does not work. When I try to scan something, I get this message:

 

"You need a WIA driver to use this device. Please install it from the installation CD or manufacturer's website and try again."

 

I reinstalled the printer driver again and I still get this same message when I try to scan something.

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Firstly, please download an run the following tool (for Windows computers only):


     http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe


It may fix the problem for you. If not, post back full error message(s).

 

Or try HP Scan Extended using the following software

 

           ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

 

Once it's downloaded and installed, for Windows 10:

 

(a) Hit Win key,
(b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
(c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"

I tried this. It didn't work. I have run the Scan Doctor overnight, more than once, and nothing happened. I still get the same message when I try to scan something.
