Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Continually try to save file after scan but computer won't save file to specified location and I do Not know where specified location is listed

There are two HP printers in the "4650" series and one Samsung:

 

 

If this is your printer:

HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer series

 

The following requires that you have installed the Full Feature software

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

 

Software installation includes placing the Printer Assistant Shortcut icon on your Desktop (named for your printer).

 

The destination can be changed in the HP Scan software.

Open the Printer Assistant > select Scan a Document or Photo

Select your shortcut

Click on Advanced Settings (might be under Quallity / Paper) or More > (wording varies depending on the version of printer software)

Click Destination > browse your computer for the folder and select the folder

Depending on software version, Click OK or Save (then Scan)
