How to activate the scan to email function on this printer. It only has the scan to Computer option.

You may setup Shortcuts and scan to email using the Shortcuts tile on the printer:

I too had given up on the printer. It is called "OfficeJet Pro" and so it is meant to be function in a home or small office. Without scan to email how could it called a office machine? Using the HP Smart Shortcuts link to scan is not acceptable. All the scans pass through HP server. What if we need to scan confidential legal documents?
