Need updates to driver for HP Scanjet G4050

I am so angry that I updated to windows 11. I did this last year and I have spent countless hours trying to find a driver for this wonderful piece of equipment. HP has been useless. I followed their directions and unfortunately removed the pre-existing driver. Now when I try to download, nothing happens. I even grabbed my old laptop running on Windows 10 and nothing would download.  I keep hoping they will update their drivers and I check in periodically. All to no avail. I've reached out - I've written, requested, cried ... nothing. How sad that HP does not care about the environment. All of us who have this perfectly good - excellent - equipment can no longer use it because HP doesn't care about their customers. HP can't assign a software engineer to update their software - so we end up having to throw good scanners in the ground? This makes no sense whatsoever. And this is to the point that I will never purchase another piece of HP equipment again. No more laptops, printers, scanners, desktops, etc. So sad. What would Mr. Hewlitt and Mr. Packard think? They'd be horrified at how their customers are treated today. Please - PLEASE - if anyone knows of a solution to this situation to this lack of a current driver for HP Scanjet G4050, please replay. Thank you.

I suggest you download the basic driver posted on support.hp.com for Windows 10 and use that. No it is not a complete scanning solution and you will likely need to use other software for scanning and editing but at 15 years old, it may be that software that was originally shipped with this device is either not compatible or not secure enough to continue offering to the public.
