HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer

I haven't been able to scan to a network folder from the front panel of my HP 9015e Officejet. I read the relevant threads about the problem and then after reading one thread in particular, I landed on the solution. The error I received was, "Network error. Check the printer's network connection and try again." I had not been using any security parameters as I never saw an instruction that using the PC login name and password plus a PIN was required. I changed the security parameters as mentioned in one of the posts, saved the details within the settings for Scan to Network Folder, and Saved and Tested the configuration. The configuration passed the test. I then used the front panel on the HP 9015e to scan to the network folder. A message asking for my PIN appeared. After entering the PIN, I was presented with the send button. The Scan worked. Problem solved. I hope this helps others who like I have been struggling with this issue for a long time. I would appreciate it if HP changed the initial error message to say, you must provide security credentials to use this feature. Nowhere is that requirement visible in the documentation I've seen. Also the video guide on an HP Support Website doesn't say that the security credentials are a required part of the setup.  My configuration: HP Elite Desk 800, Most current Windows 10 64bit, Standard AT&T Router made by Pace, both wired and wireless networks are active. HP 9015e is configured as a wireless printer.
