HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One

Hi,  i got a new ecotank 7005 printer, I notice the scanner light (under the glass plate) is or seems to be always on in a white flashing mode when even the cover is down and it is in idle mode,  There is NO activity, is that supposed to be like that?

Thanks

Hi @Talixme,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's normal for some scanners to have a light on even when they're not actively scanning. This light is often used for various functions such as initializing the scanner, maintaining calibration, or simply indicating that the scanner is powered on and ready for use. If the light is flashing in a consistent pattern, it's likely part of the scanner's normal operation.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
