Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

When using the ADF scanner on my HP7510, there is no visible SAVE icon on my computer screen!  There is a message saying the document was scanned, and to click the SAVE icon, but there isn't one??

The save option can be disabled due to following reasons-

  • The Prefix field is blank: Confirm that a name for the scanned item is in the Prefix field.

  • No write access to the selected folder: If you do not have permission to access the folder you want to save the scan to, save to a folder that you can access.

  • An older version of HP Easy Scan is installed.

  • Update HP Easy Scan: Open HP Easy Scan. On the upper bar, click HP Easy Scan, click Check for Updates, and then install any available updates.

Additionally, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

If the issue persists, try scanning with another app, such as the HP Smart app or Apple Image Capture. Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Mac) for help.
