Office Jet Pro 8720
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I recently upgraded from the Office Jet Pro 8500 to the Office Jet Pro 8720.  The issue I have is when I scan to email, my signature for email is no longer attached automatically as previously in the 8500.  I have to manually click the signatrue each time I send an email upon scanning.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to HP forums, I see that the scan to email does not attach signature automatically after upgrading the printer.

To fix this issue, set up the scan to email again with the signature.

Refer the steps mentioned under "How do I scan to email?" in this document to set it up:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.

Still a no go.  I have to manually input email signature with each attachement.  Ironically, I did notice on the 8500 I was able to set up default as Outlook mail, whereas on the 8720 I do not see option, as supposedly it would automatically identify email.

Attachement goes to email, yet without e-mail signature.

Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate your time and effort.

I understood the issue better now.

If you are using Outlook as an email client, then remove the signature in Outlook and set it up again.

Refer this link to set up the signature in your Outlook:- Click here

Let me know if that helps.

Still a NO go.  I did as you advised with a computer restart upon deletion and re-entering signature.  No eamil signature when scanning to email.  I have to manually input from signature drop box.

Weird how the older printer/scanner and software had no issues, yet the new one does.
