Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Can try the following steps?

 

1. Ensure that the scanner lid is lifted and document place on the scanner bed.

2. If Copy buttons do not light up, check to see if there is a "Paper" icon on the Control panel?

2.  Check that there is paper in the input tray and try step 1 again.
