When I try to copy something using the glass, I get a working symbol with "Copying 1/1" then immediately it switches to "Copy Canceled" and spits out a blank sheet of paper. 

 

PS. Worked fine a day ago.

Hi @HOLLYGB66

 

Have you checked the paper size that is loaded in the input tray versus what the copy settings?

 

There might be a mismatch which causes the "Copy Cancelled" error.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

Have you tried to switch off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait for 1 min,  plug in the power cord into a wall socket (not an extension plug) and power on > then try to copy.

I just tried this and it did not work.  When it started doing this, I had copied one thing, opened the paper tray to put that paper back in to copy on it again like I've done in the past. The touch screen had changed. I'm not sure if I hit a wrong button or what, but it hasn't copied since.

While both of those are interesting videos, that is not my issue. I am just trying to put something on the glass, press COPY, BLACK, and I get "COPY CANCELED" and a blank sheet.

Does this also happen on "Color" copy?  

 

Are you able to Scan using the HP Software? (trying to determine if the scanner is faulty)

Does the same thing using color and it scans fine. Just won't copy.

Funny you would say this. My paper ran out in the tray. When I refilled the paper, the copy function is now working! I didn't do anything to make it get off and I only replaced regular paper with regular paper. I hope it doesn't do it again!
