Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

OfficeJet 250 All-In-One

I've set up my printer but when using it standalone for scanning (not through my PC) I am unable to scan at 600dpi.  BEFORE I place paper in the ADF I am able to access 600dpi under scan resolution using the cog icon on the bottom left of the touchscreen.  If I select 600dpi and then place paper in the ADF if automatically changes to 300dpi.  Going back into scan resolution via the cog icon on the touchscreen, 600dpi is no longer available.  If I remove the paper from the ADF, 600dpi reappears.  It then disappears once the paper is placed back in the ADF.

Has anyone come across this? All the product literature and specs say this scanner can achieve 600dpi scans but I am unable to find any exceptions associated with this.  600dpi scans still work via the PC interface, but this is pointless for a mobile printer!

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

@deep83, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Refer to the document HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Printers - Copying Documents for help.

If the issue persists, try restoring the copy settings to default and try copying. Here is how you do it-

Open the copy settings menu from the printer control panel.

  1. Touch Copy, Copy Document, or Copy Photo on the printer control panel, and then change any available basic settings as needed.

  2. Touch Settings or the gear icon  to view more copy settings.

  3. Restore Factory Defaults: Restores all copy settings to their original defaults.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The issue relates to scanning at 600dpi, not copying a document.

Cheers

Sandeep.

Are you trying to scan to computer option?

What is the Operating System installed on your computer?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

@deep83

To obtain the maximum resolution for scanning, you need to-

(a) Scan from printer software on your computer,

(b) Only use glass area, not from ADF.

Hope this helps!
