Officejet 9015 Scan settings

On a mac device. I am able to scan to email double sided from the printer side using the ADF, but am not seeing how to change it to single sided from the printer side. I would like to scan a stack of one sided papers to email. I've tried to change the setting to single sided using HP Smart, but when I went to test, it still came out double sided. What am I missing?

Also, do I have to set up HP Smart Tasks to be able to Scan to Email after running the scan using the HP Smart app?

Uninstall the HP SMART App and install it again.

Refer to - Install and Use the HP Smart App (Mac)

It is not mandatory to create smart taste, Smart Tasks is a feature of the HP Smart app. Use Smart Tasks to create one-touch shortcuts for printing, emailing, and saving documents.

To create  Smart task refer to-HP Smart: Use Smart Tasks

Thanks for responding. I'll try that and let you know how it goes.

Regarding my first question. I should've clarified more. I'm not seeing the option to change the setting to single sided on the display panel of the printer when trying to scan to email. Can it be changed from there? Or do I have to change it from the EWS/HP Smart app? Thanks!

No, there is an option on the printer control panel to scan to change the scan to single-sided

I suggest you try to change the settings on the HP Smart app.
