Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Officejet Pro 8625

I'm embarrased to ask this as it has been asked and answered before and the questioner was apparently able to get it working based on the answer. Unfortunately it is not working for me.

Here are pertinent instructions from the answer to the above which I have followed to the letter:

1. From the printer control panel display, touch and slide your finger

across the screen and then touch Setup.
2. Touch Fax Setup.
3. Touch Advanced Fax Setup and touch Fax Confirmation.
4. Touch On (Fax Send) or On (Send and Receive).
5. Touch Fax Confirmation with image.

I also noted the original poster's followup:

When I got to the step in the instructions that indicate:

4. Touch On (Fax Send) or On (Send and Receive).
5. Touch Fax Confirmation with image.

I wasn't completely doing step #4, I was only looking at the screen and viewing that it had the radio button on the Fax Send choice selected and didn't bother to "touch" it. When I did touch it,  it brought me to another menu where I was able to select #5 Touch Fax Confirmation with image.

I did all that. I also made sure "Scan and Fax" was ON. No joy in mufville. :Crying:

Here is what I see on the Confirmaton report:

Hi,

From the Fax Setup select Fax Confirmation (On Fax Send) as you listed, then be sure to select to include first page within that menu.

From the printer main screen select Fax and then tap Settings, set the Fax Method as Scan and Fax and confirm.

Now try faxing once again, be sure to place the original pages on the top document feeder, be aware that it only applies for faxes sent from the feeder, not from the Flatbed Glass.

Please let me know if that helps,

Shlomi

"be aware that it ony applies for faxes sent from teh feeder, not from the Flatbed Glass."

Well, that was it. Who would of thought there was such an arbitrary limitation?

I had everything else OK.

We send faxes to our Officejet 8620 over the LAN using the HP fax driver and Digital feature.

However, is it possible to automatically print a confirmation report following each sent fax (sent from a PC with the Digital Fax feature)?

PLEASE, don't suggest that I scan, or print out hard copies and manually fax from the machine. Honestly, we're smarther than we appear, despite the rudimetary questions.

Just YES or NO please, not a scripted response.

Thank you.
