Please walk me through getting to a different scan resolution. I've changed settings in Word, and have gone from 200 X 200 to a maximum of 300 X 300. Specs say I should be able to get to 1200 X 1200. What am I doing wrong? Also tried Excel, using scan on HP printer icon on desktop (vs using the screen on the printer). Same issue if color vs B&W. Is this a Win 10 issue? Any work-around?

Are you scanning from the glass or the ADF?
Please try this scan solution to see if it resolves your issue.
HP Scan Extended
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi For Windows.
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
