Original drivers and software for Scanjet G4050.

I have the original Software and driver discs for the Scanjet G4050, and Windows 11 just rejects the discs completely. The scanner I bought all these years ago works perfectly well, as I have bought a year's subscription to Vuescan. And at the moment, this works well as a scanner. I am just trying to scan Negatives at the moment as I am trying to digitise my photographs from the last 60 years. Yes, I know I can buy a negative scanner, but trying to find a negative scanner that works for certain of my cameras over the years is not an easy task. If I could get this to operate on my Windows 11 laptop, it would be better. But this is definitely stopping me from ever buying HP equipment again, they charge a fortune and only support for 5 years, very poor show.

G4050 is 20 year old device, you will not be able to use it's full features in W11 because it's not fully supported for like 10 years. 

Try installing it in compatibility mode with software and drivers for Win7 or install a virtual machine Windows 7 on your computer and you will be able to scan negatives.
