Over the past few weeks my scanning has been so slow both with the document feeder and the scanner

Over the past few weeks my scanning has been so slow both with the document feeder and the scanner glass.  I've restarted the printer, unplugged it and plugged it back in. I've made sure the firmware was updated and all other updates were up to date and installed. What is going on and how can I get the scanner to work correctly and quicker? I do a lot of scanning for my work with this printer and need this to be fixed!!

Good that you have checked all the possible issues. But in the previous week our rabi crops overview office printer were performing the same as it was very slow. Even though we checked all the possible issues. But I suggested to my computer operator to install a new fresh window to the computer. When he installed new window and then we connected the printer so it was working very fast. As the issue was with the old window.

What do you mean by new fresh window? Do you mean make sure all windows updates have been done? Wouldn't  that mean that computer B would make the scanner operate more quickly than scanner A? I have tried two different computers both with Windows10  pro.

Can't speak for Rory  but ostensibly  meaning was a clean/fresh Windows 10  reinstall.
Plan "A" : With windows simple first-aid is to clean up your temp files. 
Should   "A"  fail -- Plan "B" : Make a disk backup first then reinstall. Re-installs frequently do clean up a multitude of windows sins. 🙂

Don't know your computer skill level; may need seek  paid professional services.
