We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I've just bought the HP 2320, I did everything, but the app can't recognize the scanner. Also, I cleaned the printheads, but still doesn't work properly.

You’re facing two issues with your new HP DeskJet 2320:

The HP Smart app can’t recognize the scanner

Print quality issues even after cleaning the printheads

Let’s fix them step by step:

 

🔹 1. Scanner not recognized in HP Smart

Check drivers: Make sure you’ve installed the full feature driver/software, not just the basic one.
👉 HP DeskJet 2320 drivers page

USB connection: This model works only via USB cable (no Wi-Fi). Ensure the USB is directly connected (avoid hubs).

Try HP Scan app: If HP Smart doesn’t detect it, install and try HP Scan and Capture (Windows Store) or Apple Image Capture (Mac).

Reinstall software: Uninstall HP Smart, restart, then reinstall and set up again.

 

🔹 2. Printhead / print quality issue

Align printer: After cleaning, also run “Align Printhead” from the HP printer software.

Use HP cartridges only: Non-HP inks may not work well.

Print diagnostic page: From the printer software or control panel, print a test page to see if the problem is color-specific.

Deep clean: If normal cleaning didn’t help, try the “Deep Cleaning” option.

Check cartridges: Remove both cartridges, gently clean contacts with a lint-free cloth and distilled water, then reinsert.
