Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended
macOS 12.0 Monterey

OS:  MacOS 13,  Ventura - (not in the list).

Printer:  HP OfficeJet Pro 9022e All-in-One

Product Number: 226YOB

Description of problem.

When using the printer’s duplex scanning function to scan a multi-page double-sided document, the resulting scan shows substituted page numbers instead of a true image of the original document.

The original document consists of four sheets of A4 paper, printed on both sides, and numbered as “Page 1 of 8”, “Page 2 of 8” and so on up to “Page 8 of 8”. The scan shows the first two pages correctly but then shows all the rest of the even numbered pages as “Page 2 of 8”.

Original: Page 1 of 8 - Scan: Page 1 of 8

Original: Page 2 of 8 - Scan: Page 2 of 8

Original: Page 3 of 8 - Scan: Page 3 of 8

Original: Page 4 of 8 - Scan: Page 2 of 8

Original: Page 5 of 8 - Scan: Page 5 of 8

Original: Page 6 of 8 - Scan: Page 2 of 8

Original: Page 7 of 8 - Scan: Page 7 of 8

Original: Page 8 of 8 - Scan: Page 2 of 8

If only the last three sheets are scanned, instead of 3,4,5,6,7,8, it produces pages 3,4,5,4.7,4.

If  the document is scanned in reverse order, instead of 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, it produces pages 8,7,6,7,4,7,2,7

It seems to apply whatever page number it finds on the reverse of the first sheet to the reverse of all the remaining sheets in the job. It doesn’t matter what software application is used to start the scan, the result is the same.

I looked through the settings on the printer and in the apps but can’t see any way to change this behaviour, and the app says the printer is using the latest software. Is there some way to fix this - a setting or a software update or something?
