Hi @Phyllis812,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing a paper jam issue in your HP OfficeJet Pro 6968, follow these steps:

Turn Off the Printer: Start by turning off the printer and unplugging it for safety.

Open the Printer: Open the front cover and remove the ink cartridges. This will give you better access to any jammed paper.

Check for Jammed Paper:

  • Look for paper stuck in the input tray, output tray, or inside the printer.
  • If you see any visible paper, gently pull it out. Be careful not to tear it.

Remove the Rear Access Door:

  • Locate and remove the rear access door (if applicable) to check for jams in that area.
  • Pull out any jammed paper you find.

Check the Paper Path:

  • Look inside the printer for any bits of paper or debris that might be causing the jam.

Reinstall Components:

  • Once you’ve removed all jammed paper, reinstall the rear access door and the ink cartridges.

Power On the Printer: Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Run a Test Print: Try printing a test page to see if the issue is resolved.
