This is in regard to posts concerning "All Lights Flashing."

I have just had the same problem; I get "Printer Error, turn off and then turn on your printer".  At the same time, all lights are flashing; all four on the display screen, the blue Wi-Fi, and the on/off. The only one that will function is the on/off button. I have turned the printer off/on a number of times, unplugged it from the power source - waiting 30 seconds, an hour and more.

I also tried:

Go to http://hp.care/2peqSRW  download and update the printer firmware.

Now, try a power drain as suggested below:

  • Remove the cartridges from the printer.
  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Hi @ecoplnr01,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already tried some troubleshooting steps, but it's frustrating that the issue persists. Since you've already attempted power cycling and removing cartridges, it might be worth trying a few more steps to see if we can resolve the issue.

  • Check for Jammed Paper: Even a small piece of paper stuck inside the printer can cause such issues. Open up all accessible areas of the printer and check for any jammed paper or debris.
  • Inspect Cartridges: Make sure the cartridges are properly installed and that there are no obstructions or leaks.
  • Reset Printer Settings: Sometimes resetting the printer to its default settings can help. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You mentioned trying to update it, but if that didn't work, you might want to try again or check if there's a newer version available.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
