Please explain how I can send a fax on the HP Office Jet Pro 8620

Could someone please provide me with the steps on how to send a fax on the HP Office Jet Pro 8620, please?

Do you dial the number without dialing 1 or 9 first?

Do you place the paper with the documentation facing up or down?

Load your original print-side down in the left-rear corner of the scanner glass or print-side up in the ADF.

Dialing Rules

Dialing rules are determined by your region (location) and your local telephone company.

Dialing 9 is used when you must dial "9" to get an outside line.  This might be the case in a work environment, at a hotel, or other "not at home" setup.

Dialing "1" in front of the area-code is necessary where your phone company has mandated the practice.  For example, in our location in the Western US, from a home land-line, we must dial 1-area code-number.  Example: 1-515-555-3720

Reminder:

• This printer requires that you connect the fax to a land-line phone line.
• Remember to use a "Two-wire" phone cord (one of these likely came with the printer).  If you do not have a two-line phone cord, you can purchase one at many office supply stores or online.
