Hello,
does recent HP Devices, like HP OfficeJet Pro, which support Faxing have the SIP Protocol implemented?
If not please implement SIP Protocol for Faxing in HP Devices.
This would simplify the installation of HP Devices in cases where they are not installed in the same location like the Router or a phone wall jack.
For example Routers named FRITZ!Box of the German Manufacturer AVM, support to become a local SIP Registrar/Server and creating of local IP-Telephone Accounts using the SIP Protocol to connect with it.
These credentials could be entered and used then in HP Devices to receive and send Fax over LAN/Wi-Fi/WLAN.
Thank you in advance and best regards.

With fax becoming more irrelevant by the month, it is unlikely that HP will expend technical resources to a dying technology. Sadly a very slowly dying technology. Only because medical and some government agencies cling to this antique method of sending files does it still exist. If you are looking for a quick solution, an internet fax provider would be my recommendation.
