Assuming the software is new enough to provide for the standard features,

When fully installed, the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software will likely provide two shortcuts on the Desktop - one for the Printer Assistant and one for HP Scan.

 

Yes, for newer versions of the printer software, Printer Assistant should likely include Print , Scan , and possibly Fax options.

That said,

The Full Feature Software / full driver printer software is available for your printer.

The last release date was 2015.

The software is likely still compatible with the latest versions of Windows 10.

NOTE:  If the printer software shows installed but is not working as expected,

Uninstall the printer software from Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features

Restart the computer and log in

Reminder:  If using USB, disconnect the USB printer cable between the printer and the computer before installing software.  (Re)Connect the USB cable when instructed to do so near the end of the installation procedure.

Install a fresh copy of the Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software

Restart the computer and log in

Select and Open the printer homepage

 

  • Open Category Software and Drivers
  • Download and Save the printer installation package for the “Full driver

 

Notes - Dependent on printer / software version

  • Full Feature Software might have been moved to subcategory Software-Utility
  • The “full driver” installation package might be named  Print and Scan Driver and Accessories

 

Next

  • Navigate to the folder in which you saved the software installation package (likely Downloads)
  • Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation
  • Reminder:  If using USB > Connect the USB cable when instructed (toward the end of the installation)
  • After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in
