Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

Hello , live in Germany and try the Google Translation:

It's about my HP printer Officejet Pro 9010 AIO

Problem 1 - I wanted to go to the web or settings page of my printer and entered the required PIN (seen in the printer status report and in the cartridge slot) correctly. But it keeps being recognized as incorrect. But it is absolutely correct. There is no capture error when I check that the characters are displayed as visible.

And in any fields was written: from Administrator blocked - but who is the 'Administrator' I was not in remember, that i have Settings changed. For several years I had paid for an option warranty and support extension from HP - but i am not in remember in this time maked Settings changed. What can I do now?

Problem 2: Since my mobile fax isn't working for some reason via the HP Smart PC app - everything aborted with an error - I wanted to try a test fax - the online support tells me that I have to do it on the device itself using 1-**bleep**-HPFaxme. But the alphanumeric display keypad won't let me add the letters. The - dash works when I press the * key. I can type ahead in the blue field that appears, but only two letters W R appear, that's all. I can't get to the others. What am I possibly missing in my typing or procedure? Isn't there an easier way in the HP Smart - to start a test fax?

Thanks for the answers. When in English, I will try with the G Translator

Hi @Baunix,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Problem 1 – PIN / Administrator Access

The PIN shown on the printer status report is the WPS PIN for wireless setup, not the Administrator password for the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

If you see “Blocked by Administrator,” it means that an Administrator password was already set on the printer in the past.

Please try:

Open the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering the printer’s IP address in your browser.

On the sign-in screen, use “admin” as the username. For the password, check if you previously set one.

If you do not remember the password, you will need to restore the printer to factory defaults. (From printer control panel > Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults).

After the reset, re-add the printer to your Wi-Fi and HP Smart.

Once reset, the administrator PIN/password will be cleared and you can set up a new one.

Problem 2 – Sending a Test Fax

The test fax number is +1-888-HPFaxme (1-888-473-2963), available only for customers in the US/Canada.

Since you are in Germany, this number will not work.

Instead, you need to send a fax to a local German fax number you have access to (for example, a friend, family, or another fax line you can test).

If you want to confirm the fax line works, try the following:

Make sure the phone line is connected to the 1-LINE port on the back of the printer.

Run the Fax Test Report from the printer control panel (Setup > Fax Settings > Run Fax Test). This will tell you if the fax line is correctly set up.

To dial letters on the printer keypad:

Press the number key that corresponds to the letter (like on an old mobile phone). Example: To enter “H” press number 4 two times quickly.

But since the US test number won’t work from Germany, you don’t need to enter letters. Just dial a valid numeric fax number.

The PIN you used is not the correct administrator password. If forgotten, do a factory reset.

The HP test fax number only works in the US/Canada. In Germany, use the built-in fax test report or send a fax to another local number.

I hope this helps.
