Using HPNV5644 model printer. Server problem error says printer cannot connect to web services. Might be busy or unavailable. Try again later. I checked the printer for updates. It says none available. Printing is online with instant ink and working fine, but can’t use scanning capabilities

@Stella501, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Web Services Connection on HP ENVY 5644!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP ENVY 5644 printer cannot connect to web services, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check Internet Connection

Make sure your printer is connected to a stable internet connection. Check other devices to ensure the network is functioning properly.

Step 2: Restart Printer and Network Devices

  1. Turn off your printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the router.
  3. Wait for 10 seconds, then plug the router power cord back in and turn it on.
  4. Turn on your printer.

Step 3: Enable Web Services

  1. On your printer, touch the Wireless button or Network settings.
  2. Touch Web Services Settings.
  3. Select Enable Web Services.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup.

Step 4: Access Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  1. Find your printer's IP address from the printer's menu (could be in Network Configuration or Wireless Network Test).
  2. Enter the IP address in a web browser to access the Embedded Web Server.
  3. Go to the Web Services tab.
  4. If prompted, enter the printer PIN, which is found inside the cartridge access area.
  5. Ensure Web Services is enabled. If not, enable it.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
