Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Smallest all-in-one HP Printer = HP Deskjet 3700 printer does not have a glass screen to place a document on to SCAN. It has a feeder that grabs full size 8-1/2"x11" documents and scans those just fine. I have used printers to scan for many years. My current desktop Sony PC talks to current HP Deskjet 3700 series wireless printer just fine for all functions. HOW TO SCAN SMALL PICTURES?? - tried placing old family photo in plastic sheet protector to see if printer's scanning process would commence and feeder would grab it. Scanning Error. Trying to preserve very old family photos and cannot.

The feeder is not designed for what your want.  If your PC has a camera the HP Smart can scan using the camera.

Else take the photos to a shop like Office Depot along with a USB flash and have them scan the images to the flash.  Before COVID they would show how to use the scanner and walk away.  Not sure if they allow that anymore.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate the suggestions, but I would never resort to pay others for scanning or converting my old pictures.  Guess I will resort to using cell phone to take pictures, use Link to Windows from cell phone, photos appear on my Sony desktop PC via Link to My Phone; next save-name each photo as a .jpg. Use ACDSee photo editor - cannot say enough about this program; have used it over 20 yrs --from the workplace and now on my home computer to manage, import, or export all my pictures.

You would think HP would have considered this Deskjet 3700 scanning design flaw and provided some way to scan small photos. Just saying.

you Thanks Beemer Biker: but No, none of your referenced links to understanding MY PRINTER were helpful. I have already read all of my model's manual, etc. I am an experienced word processor and have used all kinds of PCs and printers. This printer seems to have a design flaw = how to scan small photos. NEW HP PRINTER _showing top feeder tray SCANS.jpg
