Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer is Envy Photo All in One 6255.  It was working fine at last use.  Not used much.  Perhaps idle for several months.  When tried to use, the print quality is totally unacceptable. 

I have spent HOURS trying to fix the issue.  Not a tech person at all. 

 

Cannot get to a body to talk with.  Last test... Flashed a message on screen in green box for a second.  What I  saw was "Printer in error mode, SCAN only" and then it was gone.
