OfficeJet 8625
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, when trying to initiate a scan from my Windows 10 desktop, I get a "Printer Not Found" message.  I have reloaded and reloaded the latest drivers from the HP site.

The problem started after I installed a USB desk cam. When running SCAN doctor, the diagnostic tells me, in red, I have a driver check.  I have uninstalled all drivers (OfficeJet and desk cam) using a Retriveo deep dive uninstaller, all registry entries are deleted  and then reinstalled the proper HP driver.  No luck.

Even more maddening is that I later installed the HP Smart software and those scans work.  So, it appears only the full function utilities supplied for the 8625 cannot find the printer on scans.

It’s network connected and I can print from my desktop to the HP and can even scan/print from other PCs.  Any advice other than reload the OS?

Thanks

Mike
