Printer scan output quality

Hi:

I have both, an HP M477 laser printer, scanner, copier,  and an HP 7155 inkjet printer, scanner, copier.

I unusually control these printers via the HP app on my Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I want to scan personal documents and save them as PDF (or other editable) files.

Which printer is going to generate the better PDF file ?   The 477 or the 7155 ?

Or, is this determined by the HP app installed on the iPhone ?

Is PDF the best file version to save to, for editing the files later, offline, … or, should I be saving to a different file type ?  
I am trying to keep things simple.
