We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I am moving my HP MFP from a Windows 10 machine where it works flawlessly to a Windows 11 machine where the printer works, but the scanner does not.
I have been unable to find any support for this.

I am sorry to hear that your HP MFP printer is functioning correctly but the scanner is not working after moving from a Windows 10 to Windows 11 machine, cI would request you to please follow the steps:

 

Uninstall Old Drivers

  • Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
  • Remove any existing HP printer software.
  • Restart your PC to clear out old driver remnants.

Install HP Full‑Feature Software

  • Visit HP Support → Drivers & Downloads for your exact MFP model.
  • Download the Full Feature Software and Drivers package (not just the basic driver).
  • Run the installer and choose USB or Network connection depending on how your printer is connected.

Install HP Smart App

  • From the Microsoft Store, install HP Smart.
  • This app provides scanning functionality on Windows 11, even if the legacy HP Scan software doesn’t work.
  • Add your printer in HP Smart and test scanning.

Update Windows & Firmware

  • Run Windows Update to ensure all device drivers are current.
  • Check HP’s site for a firmware update for your MFP.
  • Firmware updates often fix compatibility issues with newer OS versions.
