Good day, 

Can someone kindly advise what the problem is ... Out of no where my HP wants me to sign in when I tried to scan documents. I have tried everything to get this to work. I can print as it is downloaded but it wont let me sign in to scan? I did further search under contact us and it says my printer has expired. Surely even though it is no longer under warranty i should still be able to sign in and scan my documents?

I am beyond it now !

I have a Laser Jet Pro MFP M130a I want to scan documents and its asking me to sign in. I enter password then says can not connect because of VPN. I removed my VPN and still can not connect. I entered my printer, scanner and it says its expired?

The issue is why we suddenly have to "sign-in" to use the scanner. Doesn't matter which HP scanner it is - like a all-in-one laser. This gives HP access to our private information, including sending what should be "secure" material.  This is the only Help that actually comes up.

Does anyone have a cure?

The same way I always have - with HP Smart, on my Mac.  P.S.  It took me about an hour of wasted time to "sign in".
