Hi Hp Community,

These pictures tell a story you may have heard before.  I have a healthy HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w and recently updated to Windows 11.  When I use the HP Smart App to perform a Scan, I am presented with a message that says this, "Scanning is currently unavailable.  Select Return Home and check that the printer is connected and active. Once connected, return to here to scan."  I look at the Printer Settings and says they say Ready and Active.  Then I navigate back to the Scan app and I see the same message.  What do you all think?

Start off at home page. I clicked Scan:

Start off at the HP Smart Home page and I want to scan. I clicked Scan.Start off at the HP Smart Home page and I want to scan. I clicked Scan.

I clicked Scan, I read the message, I click Return Home to go find the printer settings. This is what the Scan page looks like. It used to work. I clicked Return Home. This is what the Scan page looks like. It used to work. I clicked Return Home.

I clicked Return Home, then I clicked Printer Settings.I clicked return to home. Next I click Printer Settings in the bottom row.I clicked return to home. Next I click Printer Settings in the bottom row.

Line 2 says Status as Ready and line 6 says the Connection Status as Active. I clicked the back arrow to go home to back to Scan.Behold the printer settings. Second line shows Ready and 6th line is Active.

I am back at home, I clicked Scan.I clicked the back arrow to come home.I clicked the back arrow to come home.

I see I still can't Scan.Back to the Scan App.Back to the Scan App.

End of story, please help!

Thanks,

Connor
