The printer works fine when printing from the computer. It also scan pages into the computer fine. When trying to copy it gives me the following message weather I am trying to use the document feeder or placing the page on the printer reader itself
"The document feeder was not able to pick up the original "
"Load the original in the document feeder and try again"

Hi @GordonBr
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
As I understand from your post, the printer is unable to feed pages from ADF. Don't worry, I'd be happy to help.
To better assist you - Are you able to make a copy directly from the flatbed?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps to reset the printer -
1) Take out the cartridges.
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue still persists, try cleaning the paper feel rollers. Refer to Step#2 "Clean the ADF rollers and separator pad" from this document.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
