@Reed18, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP ENVY Inspire 7255e All-in-One Printer prints successfully but won't scan after a new router installation, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Step 1: Verify Printer Connection
Make sure the printer is properly connected to your network:
- Confirm that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or mobile device.
- Check the wireless light on the printer control panel. A solid blue light indicates a successful connection.
Step 2: Check Scan Settings
Ensure scan settings are correctly configured:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Ensure the printer is added and online in the HP Smart app.
- Go to the "Printer Settings" or "Print, Scan & Fax" section.
- Make sure "Scan to Computer" is enabled.
Step 3: Update Software and Drivers
Make sure you have the latest software and drivers installed:
- Download and install the latest full feature software and drivers from the HP support website.
- Use the HP Easy Start utility for easy driver installation if available.
Step 4: Enable 'Scan to Computer' Feature
- Open HP Printer Assistant from your computer.
- Navigate to "Print, Scan & Fax" and select "Scan."
- Click on "Manage Scan to Computer" and ensure it's enabled.
Step 5: Network Configuration
- Make sure the new router's network settings match the previous configuration regarding IP addresses.
- Test the network by checking connectivity to other devices to ensure it's stable.
Step 6: Restart Devices
- Restart your printer, computer, and router.
- Once restarted, ensure all devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
