Hello,

I posted about the inability to scan multiple pages from my printer. A design fault in my mind. A possibly a wider issue for a number of HP printers as i suspect they use the same software stack on multiple devices. A user was kind enough to post a comment yesterday, yet it looks like the reply button has been removed from the thread? Why is this? I can see the reply button on other threads? My assumption is because the comments were a little critical of HP, thread was locked?

My personal opinion is that the original thread ended up "going off track" and was closed to reduce the meandering.  Note that negative comments are tolerated as long as members adhere to the HP Support Community: Rules of Participation

Scan on Printer Control Panel - add pages

I would guess (that) the feature you want, if it is not already apparent on the printer control panel (on the printer itself) is simply not available.  This is a guess based on having quickly looked at the User Guide > section Scan.  A closer inspection of the document may prove me wrong - please do double check the results.

If you are willing to do so, you might be able to at least reduce the stress of too many trips to the printer.  The suggestions may require two trips to the printer (load paper / pick up the job).  One option requires that you have access a tablet or phone that supports HP Smart).

Webscan

Use Webscan via the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to scan.

Using the Printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Example

9025_Webscan_PDF_19025_Webscan_PDF_1

Mobile Printing

Consider using a mobile device to submit a scan job.  Whether this works for you depends on your access to a mobile device supported by the HP Smart software and the options provided on that device.  For example, supported iphone / ipad devices can scan and add pages to the scan job.

The option may be a reasonable solution if the printer control panel does not provide the fine-tuning (options) you want in a scan job.
