I am looking at the "print" tab of the HP Officejet Pro 8710 : HP printer assistant. There is no direct option to start printing. Can I directly copy forms located on the flatbed or the document feeder, without scanning and then print the scanned document?

It's been a minute (several years) since I've seen the Printer Assistant on my old OfficeJet 8740.
I believe Printer Assistant the app is typical of its type --
The Printer Assistant is not meant to be used to start print jobs.
Use applications or software to print documents you have stored on your device or Cloud.
Use your browser to print or save content you that you find on the 'net.
Use Scan applications (Windows Scan, HP Smart) or the full driver printer software (HP Scan) to create content that you then store, share, or print using your printer. Reference:

Yes, the printer includes a Copy feature.
