Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I have been able to scan to email on my HP Photosmart 7520 printer for years.  Today I tried to scan to the same email as I have done in the past and now I get the error message “Unable to connect to Web Services. Confirm Internet access and try again."  I have web access, just having a problem with scanning to email. I've powered down, reset, reinstalled Webservices and checked internet connections.  Everything is working fine except the scan to email. I have even tried to scan to a different email and it gives me the same error message. 

 

Can you send me the fix to this problem?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

 

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  
To start, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. On your printer click on the Web Services icon in the top-left corner of the display screen.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click on Remove Web Services.
  4. Click on the Web Services icon. 
  5. Click on Accept and Yes.
