Hi @Kris8000,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To address your issue with the HP ENVY Inspire 7920e All-In-One Printer and sending scans to email directly from the printer's touchscreen, it's important to first confirm that your printer model supports this feature. Many HP printers allow users to scan directly to an email address through the printer's built-in interface, but the availability of this feature can vary based on the specific model and its settings.

For the HP ENVY Inspire 7920e, here are general steps you can follow to attempt setting up and using the scan to email feature directly from the printer's touchscreen, assuming the printer supports it:

Initial Setup:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to your network and has internet access.
  • Make sure the printer's firmware is up to date.

Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Print a Network Configuration or Printer Status Report from the printer's control panel to find the printer's IP address.
  • Enter the printer's IP address into a web browser on a computer or device connected to the same network.

Enable Scan to Email:

  • In the EWS, navigate to the "Scan" or "Email" settings section.
  • Look for an option to enable "Scan to Email" or "Email Setup."
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the feature. This usually involves entering your email server settings, specifying default send-from email addresses, and possibly configuring authentication details.

Use the Scan to Email Feature:

  • Return to your printer's touchscreen interface.
  • Select the "Scan" option, then choose "Email" as the destination.
  • Follow the prompts to select your scan preferences, enter the recipient's email address, and start the scan.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
