Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After scanning multiple pages, there is one to be removed before saving.  When I move curser to page, it is highlighted.  When I click on REMOVE all pages disappear.   I cannot find any instructions on how to use this function.  Crop is only one that responds to what it is supposed to do.

Open HP Scan and Capture

Scan the Document

When the pages are lined up along the preview window,

Right-Click on a page(s) you want "deselected" (removed from the job).

Click to Save the "still checked" items.

Those items that are saved will be removed from the preview.

You have the option to save the "left over" page(s) in a separate file or to simply discard.

If your unknown printer supports it, use a different software to scan your PDF file and edit the Page Range.

What is available depends on your printer model and - for some of the options - whether you have the Full Driver printer software installed.
