HPEnvy5546

I have just connected my new HPEnvy 5546 printer but am having difficulties when copying a colour document.  The error message asks me to remove and reinstall  the indicated toner cartridge.  I have done this several times and stll get the same error message.  There is no problem with copying a black copy, just a colour copy.

Also I am receiving a message that tells me the alignment page cannot be detected.  I have tried unplugging the printer, removing the printer cartridges and waiting before conecting it up again, but it will won't detect my alignment page.

Can anyone hel with these two problems please.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

As I understand there's an issue with the printer as the copier doesn't work with color,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Have you checked the color copy option is being selected from the printer?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:

  1. Load the original print side down on the right front corner of the scanner glass.

  2. Specify number of copies and settings.

    • From the Home screen, touch Copy. Swipe to the desired number of copies.

    • If the 2–Sided option is On, touch to select Off.

    • Touch  (Settings) to specify paper size, paper type, quality, or other settings.

    • Touch  (Back) to return to the Copy screen.

  3. Touch Black or Color to start the copy job.

(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)
