Problems Duplex copying on laserjet MFP283fdw

I am having issues duplex copying on this printer.  According to the Instructions for this model, I should have the 2-2 Sided option in the Settings/Two-Sided menu.

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

The Printer ADF scanner only scans 1 side at a time. So a manual reload is needed to copy the 2nd side.

Copy on both sides automatically
1. Load the original documents into the document feeder with the first page facing up, and with the top of the
page leading.
2. Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.
3. From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Copy button .
4. Touch the Settings button.
5. Scroll to and touch the Two-Sided button.
6. Swipe through the options, and then touch an option to select it.
7. Touch the Black or Color button to start copying.

At step 5, the Two-Sided button, the only options are 1-sided to 1-sided and 1-sided to 2-sided copy. There is no 2-sided to 2-sided copy option because the ADF only scans 1 side.

You can have many 1-sided documents and have them copied as 2-sided automatically.  (Printer has Automatic 2-sided printing)
