If you are an HP Employee can you provide a schedule of when the Easy Scan program will be updated to support Catalina.

 

As of this writing the app does not work and it has broken my HP Envy 7640.  Easy Scan broke PDF printing also and the scanner specifically does not start.

 

This is disturbing to me because Catalina is nothing new and HP should test these apps before release. The HP7640 is only 2 years old. I can use the Web Scan to scan in the meantime, but it is a lot harder to do.

 

Removing Easy scan restored PDF printing, however the Apple open scanner does not work. The only workaround is Web Scan.

You may try HP Smart instead and see if that work for you:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/HPSmart3.6.pkg

 

I am not an HP Employee, but I can tell that it is not supported at this time as clearly documented in the below document, follow HP Site for any future updates once these will become available.
