Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

My older HP 3632 suddenly stopped scanning after 3 years - i notice that the light carriage doesnt travel full length of the glass plate.

I have spent 3 days trying to sort this then went fora new HP 3630 and new connect laptop to printer USB cable.

This one also doesnt scan. The printer prints but will not install properly. It goes through the 1..2..3.. sequence and then advise "connection to internet not found or lost - please check and retry" nor does the "copylink to clipboard" copy or open.

Is there a general software fault in these printers ? HP used to be so simple and reliable to install but now has a very frustrating fault which is causing me hour and days of trying to submit my tax returns etc etc after signing as cannot scan.

HELP ! I just need simple step instructions to get back to work

Clearly you read my thread so did you try the HP Smart App?  That is the easiest way and works quite well.  The only drawback is you have to create an account with an email address.

When you go through the setup make sure you do not connect the Cable until it asks you to.

You may have to delete the old printer from the Printers area before installing with the app if you started with the actual software.  Also you did not state which software you tried?

Plus there is a manual, did you look at that? if so which directions did you try?

Can one of the Forum Members tell me why there is a "Re" in front of the Title of this thread.  Something to do with the "I have this problem to" Button?  Or is it that the Titles are identical?

Hi Kumar,

I am nearly 80 so don't like apps on my mobile that control my business computer. I also cant easily read fine print on my mobile !

Reading the threads, there are many people out there with scanning problems.

The belated broadcast of an upgrade to Print & Scan Doctor bothers me that HP hadn't identified a problem with the software download which was resolved when I was advised of version5.5.1, installed it and my scanner worked.

Your solution I am sure works but if mine is working I don't want to go any deeper.

Once Xmas is over I will reinstall my old printer but suspect it is a problem with the light carriage movement and at $ 35.00 am going to spend $100 an hour of my time maybe not fixing a $35 machine.

Stay Safe and Keep Well.

Cheers
