My Officejet 7510 as well does not seem to see or sense the photo sitting on the glass to be scanned. Will only scan from the Auto Document Feeder.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

What apps or software are you using to scan?

 

Look out for the tab on "Source", it allows you to set it to "Scanner Glass" or "Document Feeder".

 

Example on HP Smart:
