Not working after Update. After rebooting the system it works a few minutes....

There is an issue with Windows 11 24H2 that's affecting a lot of HP scanners right now, primarily with TWAIN.  As for your USB connector, try logging into your admin and installing as admin and see if that works.

Having the same issue.

In 24H2 the usb shows up as USB- "Print support"

 

Both machins neven had the scanner before, installed them today to test.

23h2 work fine, while 24h2 comes up with wrong driver it seems.

HP Level 2 contacted  me and said that their Level 3 is aware and they are working with Microsoft for a fix.  Microsoft also confirmed that the big November Tuesday update will fix scanner issues.  Knock on wood this all gets resolved for everyone using HP scanners.

I installed the new update, and scanner still not working correctly

Currently testing different departments but one after it did the updates, had to do a restart again and then tested it out and it worked for one scanner.  But the cloud scanner that they need to do their work on the state system, still does not detect the Twain driver.  

 

I still have a lot of computers with scanners that I need to test.

 

Definitely check the update history to make sure these were installed:  

Windows 11 KB5046617 and KB5046633

Yes,  KB5044384 for Windows 11 24H2 talks about it, but it has not fixed our issue. Anyone with any solution so far.
