Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. We have been using the HP Smart faxing for over 4 years now and for the first time we are now getting pop ups saying "You have reached 80% of your free send limit". I can't find literature on this anywhere. Is the faxing feature now a paid feature despite me having instant ink?

Welcome to the HP English Community --

 

Instant Ink and Mobile Fax are not related.

 

What?

 

Having an Instant Ink subscription does not in any way impact whether or how Mobile Fax is used.

 

Should the Fax limit be reached, the application should reset itself to allow you to continue to use Mobile Fax.

 

Unless something has changed very recently, Mobile Fax is still -- yes, after all this time -- in Trial Mode.

 

When / If Mobile Fax moves to a subscription model, you will be notified of the change and offered a plan setup to continue using the Mobile Fax feature.

 

There is no actual support for Trial software.

 

If the Mobile Fax app stops working due to "end of trial" message, at that time, create a new Post and ask for help.
