How can I reduce the size of the scans I make. Even after ticking the "Daily scan", the size of a single page is 1,3 Mb...

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Reducing the scan resolution(PPI) should decrease the size of the scanned image. The steps below should help you reduce the resolution using HP Easy scan:
1.) Open HP Easy Scan. If you don't have HP Easy Scan installed, you may download and install HP Easy Scan from here.
2.) Click Presets and select Edit Settings.

3.) Click Resolution and change it to 200 or 300.

4.) Click Done.
5.) Try to Scan.
Let me know how it goes!
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Hello Senan 6806, Thank you very much for your reply. I already worked with Easy Scan but it had not the desired results uptil now. I will change these settings. However, I also meanwhile directed the scans directly to Downloads, which resulted top: instead of a one-page size of 1,3 Mb it now was abt. 180 Kb. So I am very happy now and thank you very much for your support. Have a nice day! R

I worked through the settings similar to your previous response, but even reduced dps to 150. So Grey, high compression & 150 dps. One page document scan. Still comes out at 565kbs which is insanely large (and unnecessary). How does hp expect a larger document 10+ pages to be useful for email, etc.? Is there any way to further reduce scanned file size?
